Another memory technique in our memory training program is the Loci system.
They bring things with you known places and routes in conjunction.

You will learn how to link to you-known places and routes with words and things right.
Thus you will be able to memorize an infinite number of things can.

The technique

A major advantage of the loci system is that the human memory works particularly well in spatial dimensions. Find a place or a route you know well. This can be your home, your workplace, your school or the supermarket to be around the corner. It is only important that you know the place really well. The basic idea of the loci system is, things that you want to remember in this way, eg deposit by check. Attention has to again and again, that things are not "normal" there are, but especially noteworthy are. A sample route

This is my route from the bus to my home - combined with an imaginary hospital room.

"I stop at my bus stop and wants to get out. When I come alight with an unfriendly, bad-tempered clown who disappears to happiness in a different direction than I do. I walk across the street, where a hotel is located. At this a huge poster of a beautiful woman as a motif. As I pass the hotel, I see a lot of old TV before the port. I go ahead and pass by the house of a friend who is sitting in his driveway on a huge wooden chair and looks over to his neighbors, sitting at one of the great chair perfect, huge wooden table and eat. I change a short, two words with him and then move on. When I arrived at his neighbor, I think, I could not believe my eyes. His neighbor is actually in his driveway, has ignited a fire and grilling about it calmly on a fish stick. The neighbor across the street, Vietnamese smell the fish and come out with a plate in order to also get a piece of fish. I feel quite differently from the gases and smells, I walk just down the road and quickly want to go home, but then I lose consciousness.

I wake up in a bed in the hospital. In front of my bed is my grandmother and left of your father. I have no idea what I'm doing here, but when I slipped down a piece of the ceiling, I put a little note with horror. I'm a little kid again!

I think for now are all gone crazy here and turn me back to my grandmother, which begins a second time to count. I give up, I really have no idea what this is all here and think only "hrrrr ...". "


Advantages of the loci system

At first glance, sees such a story written down, much too long and too complicated, as it could be a learning aid. But you will find that such a story has several advantages.

1. 1st They are by the way, which is always the same, forget any more words. If you are thinking of something over which you have previously installed in such a story, you will remember once again that you had deposited something there.
   
2. 2nd Second, you will find it as easy as the goods back, how to name forward.
   
3. 3rd Will you never forget your stories and their related things. I can not say exactly how long you will keep it.
   However, I can tell you that there are people who know for over 10 years, still the things and the route that you have begun to learn this system!

Build your memory palace

Look for good opportunities to learn, to know new places and remember this one well. The more rare it can be visited Keller, the house of a neighbor where you are invited to a barbecue party or just the lecture hall where you often are taught.
Every time you come in for you well noticeable place before your eyes, you concentrate on, so many details as possible to impress.
